Job description
Fast Food Restaurant Worker
Counter Attendants/Fast Food Restaurant Workers are responsible for serving customers in dining establishments that serve fast food or offer take-out. As the primary contact between the customers and the restaurant, they are expected to deliver top quality customer service and be friendly and engaging when interacting with guests to project a positive image of the company.
Specific duties may include but are not limited to any combination of the following:
– Greet and interact with Guest in a positive, friendly and professional manner
– Ensure customer satisfaction and answer any questions or comments from customers
– Resolve customer complaints in a professional and effective manner – Accept payment from customers, and make change as necessary
– Request and record customer orders, and compute bills using cash registers, multicounting machines, or pencil and paper
– Serve customers in eating places that specialize in fast service and inexpensive carryout food
– Prepare simple foods and beverages such as sandwiches, salads, and coffee
Required skills:
In addition to a strong command of English, this position can be physically demanding and may require:- Ability to receive direction and perform responsibilities in a fast paced environment – Standing and constant moving for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift) – Strong basic math skills with the ability to operate a cash register or POS system – Familiarity with US currency with the ability to accurately count cash and make change – Frequent bending and stooping – Lifting up to 25lbs./11 kgs. – Positive attitude – Team player
Wage and housing
WAGE:
$15.00 + TIPS, BONUS
Allowances, bonuses, and/or incentives $2.00 per hour worked incentive at the end of student contract agreement.
Overtime available
Overtime wage: 1,5x normal rate (overtime is offered but not guaranteed).
Schedule will vary between 06:00 and 22:00
Average hours per week: 32
Shifts may vary; Hours may be reduced depending on business needs, weather, economic situations, your performance, sick time and other circumstances.
HOUSING:
Provided, rent is $100-$150/week.
