The difference between a pool and beach lifeguard

Every season, around 500 rescuers travel with us to the USA – 50 of them decide to work on the beach. This shows how popular the program is among university students. Our employers are mainly on the east coast of the USA.

The pool lifeguard is responsible for the entire pool as well as for customer satisfaction. Beach lifeguards on the Atlantic coast have more responsible work, therefore they must have outstanding swimming skills and English language skills.

We work with 15 employers that we know personally, thanks to our many years of relationships. Some companies are bigger, others smaller, but don’t worry that you won’t be able to choose the right one from our catalog.

Lifeguard earnings

The salary always depends on the employer, the general hourly wage is around 12 to 15 USD. The standard working time is about 40 hours a week. The employer may ask you to work overtime, which is later paid 50% more than the basic rate. (Some employers are classified as seasonal, so they may not work overtime).

Accomondation

Most employers provide accommodation from day one in the US, in their own premises or in arranged apartments. Accommodation in some locations (New Jersey, Ocean City, Myrtle Beach) is not provided – we will help you find them !!!

1. Application fee:

1290 PLN – when you sign up till Oct 31 st 2023
1490 PLN – when you sign up after Oct 31 st 2023

The fee includes:

• Registration to the W&T USA program
• Help in choosing the best job offer
• Help in obtaining the DS-2019 form
• Assistance with visa application at the US embassy
• Preparation for your trip to the US
• 24-hour advice and assistance during your stay in the US

2. Program fee – 1250USD:

The fee includes:

• DS-2019 application from the visa sponsor – authorisation to work legally in the USA
• Health INSURANCE during the validity of the DS-2019
• A virtual orientation from the visa sponsor before the flight to the USA
• Nonstop assistance service of the visa sponsor during your stay in the US
• SEVIS – 35 USD – (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System)

3. The lifeguard training (organized in Poland):

1st training ( valid for 2 years) – 300 USD
Reneval – 150 USD

4. Other fees:

Fee for the visa provision.- 185 USD

Flight ticket
Not included in the fee list, but it is an additional expense. Purchase of a flight ticket depends entirely on you. It starts from 500 USD
