Our long term employer is looking for friendly personalities who are looking forward to spend summer in a shop focused on funny T-shirts and other souvenirs. If you are a boy, no problem, you can work as a Customer Service Representative. Perfect position for mixed groups. Employer is looking for 10 girls and 7 boys.

Employer has few locations in town, you will be split into different shops.

Positions and Duties:

As a Retail Associate your job will be to give the customer the best shopping experience they can have in our store.  Since our customers are mainly tourists it will probably be their first time in our store and also their last.  This means they must be able to find all their gifts to bring home easily and quickly.  Your job will include talking to people from all over the world, helping people find their perfect gifts, making sure we have items in stock, and talking about how great Seattle is!  We are a small, but growing, company that works hard to create a great atmosphere for customers and staff alike.  If you want to work with a fun staff, meet tourists from countries around the world and help people find fun Seattle items this is definitely the place for you!

What Does a Retail Associate Actually Do? Putting out new merchandis, helping customers find items they need, folding shirts and keeping the store looking neat and tidy, ringing up sales on the POS system, opening or closing the store (as early as 8:30am, as late as 12am), assigning staff tasks and helping complete projects, talking and greeting customers, informing Managers of merchandise needed on the sales floor, finding and completing tasks, keeping busy and using your time efficiently.

Your strengths should include: high energy, friendly personality, strong social skills, cash handling experience, Capable of interpreting customers’ words and showing them products that meet their needs, flexibility, willingness to put forth your best effort at all times, trustworthiness, punctuality

$19.97/hour

HOUSING:

Rental is around $700/month.

We have two beautiful houses located in the greater Seattle area, fully furnished with beds, shared common areas with couches and entertainment systems, kitchens with appliances included, and multiple bathrooms. You will be staying in one of these two houses with your fellow Work and Travel students. Both houses have close access to public transportation so you can easily commute to work and around the city and have grocery stores nearby.
